Hailing from Singapore, I hold a Bachelor of Science in Early Childhood Education from Wheelock College at Boston University. I spent a decade building my career in Singapore, working with a social enterprise, as an educator and later as a principal. I have a soft spot for early literacy and nature pedagogy, and I’ve collaborated with nature-based schools in Bali, Melbourne, and Sydney. I truly believe that kids are naturally curious and in the right environment and a little nudge, they can achieve wonders!
On a personal note, I moved to Reykjavík to be with my husband but what anchored me here – was the allure of a slower, more balanced life. Now, as we eagerly await the arrival of our first little girl, my journey is taking a slight detour. I’ve decided to press pause and take a year off from Sælukot. And while I’ll deeply miss the vibrant community at Sælukot, I’m comforted knowing that I’ll return to them soon. Hlakka til að vera með ykkur!
